Norwegian rockers Norwe Gjernøyen and his Norwegian rock band Norvalds Næssons Næstning have announced that they will be releasing a new album, called Norwegian Wood, on April 10.
The band’s website claims that Norwegian Wood will be released on April 11.
The group’s last album was Norwegian Wood in 2016.
Norwegian Wood was produced by Norvøyens producer-musician Erik Vigførndal, and will feature songs from the band’s current lineup, including bassist Anders Eriksen.
The album will also feature the band performing new songs.
The Norwegian Wood album will be the bandís first since 2009, and is set to be the first Norwegian album to have a female lead vocalist.
The Norwegian Wood release date will mark the second time in six years that the band has released an album in Norway.
The release date of Norvårds Nåsnes Næsringen in 2015 was the first in their history to be released in Norway, but that record was a collaboration with singer Mikkel Stang.
The band recently finished a tour of the United States and Europe, and the release date for the Norwegian Wood LP has not been announced.
