GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he doesn’t fear the Trump supporters in the party.
McConnell said in an interview with ABC News on Sunday that he isn’t afraid of them.
He said, “I don’t think that they are all bad.”
He added, “They’re just people who don’t like what I’ve been doing for the last seven years.”
The Kentucky Republican also said he’s not afraid to fight them on social issues.
“I think they have their opinions, but that’s fine.
I don’t have any problem with it,” he said.
He added that he was in favor of making public schools available to all students regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
“I do believe that schools are important and that it is absolutely essential that we educate our children, that we get them into the right place at the right time,” McConnell said.
